Dear friends, it is with mixed emotions that I write to close out my year of daily gratitude and prayer here on Daily Thankful. Oh, what a blessed journey it has been! (Today marks the one-year anniversary of this blog)
It is with a thankful and sincere heart that I bid my fond – but brief – farewell to you here. As some of you know, I’ve sensed the Lord prompting me to take my blogging journey in another direction, and Daily Hopeful [http://dailyhopeful.wordpress.com] is the result of this guidance. Feel free to join me there if you like! (Extra grace is appreciated, though, as I’m just getting started)
I am so thankful to each of you for your many kindnesses, words of wisdom, encouragement, and prayers. You are a blessing!
Allow me to leave you with some wise words of benediction, taken from the book of Colossians:
Dear Lord, thank You for this incredible journey here on Daily Thankful. This experience has been both rewarding and humbling in some aspects, but I do not regret a moment of it! Thanks for the amazing friends I’ve met along the way.
Finally, I lift up Daily Hopeful to You at this time, Lord, and trust that You will use it in whatever way best accomplishes Your sovereign purposes. In Your name I pray, Amen.
A few housekeeping items:
- Daily Thankful will remain here. Who knows? I may revive the blog at some point, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. The already-published content will stay here, though.
- I will continue to post under the name “Daily Thankful,” even though the new blog is called Daily Hopeful. I hope this won’t be too confusing!
- I’ll still keep reading and commenting on your blogs, as my schedule permits. I look forward to remaining connected to you all!
