As we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States, I am grateful for the remarkable deliverance that I have experienced in my own life. Indeed, something happened today that cast my mind back to an earlier turbulent time, and I had to remind myself that I’m not there anymore. What a blessing!
Fittingly, I came across this verse in my Bible reading today. It really struck a chord with me:
What are you thankful for today? (It seems like an appropriate question to ask, given the title of this blog) 😉
Dear Lord, I thank You for seeing me through the fire and water seasons of my life – times when I felt overwhelmed and unduly burdened – and for bringing me to a place of abundance (in terms of peace and joy – the things that really matter). You are good! In your name I pray, Amen.
I am thankful for God.
