Today I am grateful for the healing – physical, emotional, and spiritual – that I’ve experienced in my life thusfar. I still have a ways to go, but when I reflect on my past, I marvel at the distance I’ve traveled, and the mountains that I’ve struggled to climb and overcome.
I have not done this alone. I am grateful for loving family and friends, and ultimately to God for never leaving or forsaking me.
Many mountains are ahead of me (remember that a valley is simply the space between two mountains!), but I am stronger and better equipped for the jouney because of the healing I’ve experienced along the way.
Here is my prayer for today: Dear Lord, thank You for being a God who heals. Thank You for redeeming my pain, repurposing it to make me more compassionate to others, and for healing me from some, but not all, of my trials. Thank You for soothing the aches in my soul (and body), and for the important reminder that You, and You alone, have the power to provide healing. You do not always choose to do so – for reasons I do not necessarily understand – but I am grateful for the times You have chosen to lovingly heal me from the hardships of life. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
